Massage Services
Welcome to the relaxing as well as therapeutic world of massage. What is the difference between relaxation and deep tissue massages? Massage for relaxation is for soothing and calming (sedating) the nerve endings in the tissue (skin).
Mostly stroking, gliding, some friction movements are made to the area being worked upon. It is meant for relaxing, stimulating circulation and increasing oxygen and fresh red blood cells. This massage is beneficial for increasing circulation and helping to move toxins out of the tissue. If it's your first massage ever, we recommend a relaxation massage. Deep tissue massage is applying stronger movement to the tissue, which would include, friction, deep kneading techniques, ischemic compression techniques, and this type of massage is for people with chronic pain, extreme tension and for someone who is use to massage and athletic. If you are looking for a deep tissue/therapeutic massage to help break down lactic acid which builds up in the muscle tissue due to lack of exercise, to much exercise, or plenty of stress and you are capable of handling deeper, some pain with the techniques, then this massage is for you. Not really recommended for a relaxing night out to just make you fall asleep!!!
If you have any questions about each type of massage, feel free to ask the therapist at the time of your session. A session can include both relaxation techniques and deep tissue work. Price will be accordingly.
